Memo To Domain Squatter Guy: Thanks For Ruining The Fun.

If you've noticed a high rate of domains recently registered with the word "movin" in them, no, they're not hot tips for future format flips, but in fact the handiwork of a bulk domain register person, also known as a "cybersquatter". Perhaps someone who's aware of this blog and probably looking for some recognition on his behalf.

Well, here it is: Thanks for nothing.
Comments:
You think a net gnome had something to do with drawing attention to it?

I sure as hell do.

The new generation of radio is forming every day and those that are aware of the power of the internet will succeed.

Alan Burns should've protected his copyright and had the domains to sell to his clients as part of the package. Now any future clients will be at a disadvantage when it comes to branding themselves online.

We know that Clear Channel, for example, is aware of the Internet, pre-registering domains days, sometimes weeks, before executing format flips. In Mr. Burns' case, if observations that this format would spread like wildfire, maybe it wouldn't have hurt to sit on the domains and dole them out as he sees fit.

Then again, there's always "movinXXXXfm.com" domains available.

But as you and I have shown, Clear Channel has gotten hurt recently for doing just that. They have gotten smarter with their last few and are using others to register their domains for them and then transferring them into the hive the day of the flip.

BTW, keep any eye out on 965theriver.com. It's currently registered to Domains By Proxy, but was registered the same day that Cumulus sold the Mojo format to Radio-One in Cincinnati and fits with the WPRV calls that have been placed on the frequency.

Actually, it's being reported that 96.5 FM is rumored to go all-talk next week, with Mancow mornings, Bill O'Reilly and possibly Don & Mike.

By the way... 965fmtalk.com was registered in late September by a person with a Cincinnati address through register.com. The name doesn't ring a bell, so please take it with a grain of salt.

Great information i get a more information and I was looking for this data for a long time, but I was not able to find the trusted source.
experience.
